Sekiun-in Temple

勝間田氏によって創建された曹洞宗の由緒あるお寺。今川・武田・徳川といった有力な大名に庇護されました。山門、総門、参道の丁石、龍門の滝の彫刻など、建築や彫刻技術に優れ、市の指定文化財になっています。

Founded by the Katsumata clan, this is a historic temple belonging to the Soto school of Buddhism. It was supported by powerful feudal lords such as the Imagawa, Takeda, and Tokugawa. Famous for its architecture and carving techniques, the main gate, the outer gate, the path markers, and the Ryumon no Taki relief are all designated as cultural assets of the city.
